BRIEF INTRODUCTION
It is generally recognized that
water is an enemy
of turbine lubricating oils. Water in oils impairs its lubricating properties and increases the rate of oxidization, develops sludge formation and causes costly corrosion to equipment.
Since it is often impossible to prevent water from entering the lubricating system, it is EXTREMELY important to remove it from the oil before it causes permanent damage. At the meantime, DIRTS and IMPURITIES mixed up with lube fluids.
Coalescence and Separation Filtration Techniques
Emulsion breaker is specially for turbine lube oil, which has Hydrophila Coalescence Filter and Water-resistance Separation Filter.
Coalescence Filter
: tiny water drops get together into bigger water drops, then
sizable water
drops fall down into catchwater channel due to gravity.
Separation Filter:
water drops are blocked here.
Dehydration and Degassing Principles
Boiling point of water is low under Vacuum condition, avoid the harm to the oil by heating.
Degassing Tank is using the most optimized design. The oil is exposed in a vacuum in the largest surface, which increased oil’s trip in degassing tank. Water and gas in oil have enough time for vaporization, hence, they can be removed efficiently.
